Veteran Benefits & Medicare

Provide agents and brokers with the information they need to assist beneficiaries in identifying how programs such as VA, Tricare, and CHAMPVA work with Medicare. Attendees will become knowledgeable on how to inform beneficiaries of the effects of Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans on their Veteran Benefits.

How NOT to Blow up your Clients (& other Level Funding Tips)

In this course, we’ll discuss many of the positive features of level-funded plans, but we’ll also present the gotchas that could end up hurting clients. Brokers who are fully informed can then feel comfortable explaining the pros and cons of the various options to their clients so that they can make an educated coverage decision.

Estate Planning for the Other 99.9%

The American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012 (ATRA) fundamentally changed the way one approaches estate planning. After ATRA, it is now estimated that only .1% of Americans now have to worry about the federal estate tax.1 In this regard, ATRA brought about two primary changes to estate planning: a) certain planning techniques are less applicable to smaller estates; and,..) there is now a greater focus on planning for family dynamics rather than transfer taxes. Another impact of ATRA is that it has changed the way in which estate plans are implemented and administered. This course will explore how ATRA may impact estate planning and life insurance planning for the other 99.9%, including a discussion on a variety of non-federal estate tax oriented planning techniques and purposes; and ways in which ATRA may impact common planning techniques, such as B[1]trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, and spousal access trusts.

First Dollar Insurance: Consumer Protection Against Rising Out of Pocket Exposure

When choosing a core health insurance plan, individuals and families often overlook an important piece to the puzzle – exposure to ever increasing Out of Pocket costs! In this CE, we will discuss strategies to combat rising OOP exposure to eliminate the financial stress due to an unforeseen accident or illness.
